London, 20 September 2020 – Dictador, the award-winning producer of fine and rare luxury Colombian rums, is proud to present Dictador 2 Masters Royal Tokaji, an extremely limited edition of aged Colombian rum that has been uniquely matured at the acclaimed Royal Tokaji Wine Company in Hungary. By entrusting the finest 40-year-old Dictador rum into the hands of the Royal Tokaji cellar master, this pioneering project has created an entirely new and perfectly harmonious spirits masterpiece. Dictador 2 Masters Royal Tokaji is the latest addition to the Dictador 2 Masters collection, a unique and pioneering rum project that transcends traditional spirits categories to create innovative and unexpected flavours and finishes- making it the perfect investment rum.

Leading the way in the fine and rare luxury rum category, Dictador 2 Masters has perfected the art of rum making by bringing together the craftsmanship of Dictador Master Blender Hernan Parra with a number of meticulously selected spirits artisans from across the world. As the name implies, the initiative connects the ingenuity of two brand masters to create a singular rum experience – in this case Hernan Parra and Royal Tokaji’s Master Blender Zoltán Kovács.

The 1977 vintage Dictador rum matured for seven months in Royal Tokaji’s 12-year-old, 300-litre Zemplén oak barrels that had previously been used to age the 2016 Royal Tokaji Aszú 6 puttonyos. Under Zoltán Kovács’ watchful eye, the Dictador rum has been imbued with a round and complex finish, with fresh touches of the legendary sweet Hungarian wine. Only 475 decanters will be available worldwide.

To protect the authenticity of this unique spirit, Dictador has developed innovative new safety features, including the world’s first counterfeit solution based on a holistic cryptographic system. The 2 Masters label serves as a robust security solution, containing 11 layers of protection, guillochés, gold paint with UV glowing protection, microtext, typographical numbering and several other advanced features. The bottle is presented in a special safety packaging made of armoured glass that uses fingerprint technology for unlocking.
