Blended by Dictador distillery Master, Hernan Parra, DICTADOR 5 DECADES uses RUM from FINELY AGED 1966 / 1976 / 1986 / 1996 / 2006 casks, representing FIVE DECADES OF THE RICHARD ORLINSKI LIFE AND WORK.

Master blender Hernan Parra has personally selected the best barrels from his family’s private stock in Colombia to create the exceptional liquid, truly art in itself, with 525 bottles available worldwide (100 in each colour way, plus 25 bottles hand-painted by Orlinski).
The value of this luxury rum collection is in the value of the 30 barrels (‘66-’06) used to prepare each colourway set of bottles. The liquid will never be used in the future by dictador, giving consumers access to one of the oldest rums in the world.

TASTING NOTES
The first impression is of vintage port, with notes of Pedro Ximenez sherry, with heart-notes of moist Xmas pudding and base-notes of espresso coffee.
A lightly teeth-coating texture and a delicately sweet taste, drying to dark chocolate in the finish.
TASTING NOTES
A mild top-note of coffee grounds segues into gingerbread with burnt edges, on a hard toffee base.
A faintly oily texture with a sweet start, a coffee cream middle and a lingering aftertaste of caramel toffee.

An initial top-note of soap bubbles immediately gives way to creamy coffee, backed by brandy butter.
Brandy butter comes through on the palate, with creamy coffee in the finish and aftertaste.

The first impression is of buttered toast, thinly spread with apricot jam, on a faint rum base combined with a suggestion of scorched paper.
The taste starts sweet, then becomes acidic (tart fruits) before fading into a lengthy, warming finish and an elusively fruity aftertaste.

Initially somewhat closed, then a suggestion of oiled teak, edging towards a dusty desk drawer. Xmas mince pies at base.
A light texture, with a trace of redcurrant jelly in mid-palate and espresso coffee in the aftertaste.
