Product description
The second edition of Dictador Generations en Lalique contrasts with the first – the decanter is crafted from black crystal, shrouding the collection in a veil of mystery. The enchanting waves of the Caribbean Sea decorating the bottle are pitch-black, depicting the surface at night. The rum inside, a 1977 vintage hand- crafted for this special occasion by Dario and Hernan Parra, with a special involvement of rhe son, is invisible through the black crystal. The decanter is yet another testimony to Lalique’s craftsmanship, being a true work of art. Only 300 bottles produced and released onto the market, making it a truly limited edition.
Tasting Notes:
Nose
Gingerbread, hints of forest floor, a foundation of aged oak spices, stroopwafel and coffee beans covered in milk chocolate. A malted note too across the top with figs, sherry and dates. Baked terracotta.
Palate
The palate opens with ginger snaps, a note of drying oak and some hints of salted caramel. Some vintage leather and figs with honey, topped with chopped toasted hazelnuts, a pinch of liquorice powder and a note of griddle pineapple.
Finish
Long and lingering with ginger and dates, notes of cocoa powder and some cigar tobacco.
